JCL 9 - JCL Bypass Technique using IF

Below are the three important techniques used for bypass activities.

1. IF
2. Conditional Parameter
3. RESTART Parameter

 Working With IF Statement:

• It will be same like you regular IF Condition which you might you have worked in COBOL coding or C C++,….
• If statement is coded with activity name, based on the previous activity Status.

 Important Points:

• Activity status can be identified by using Return Code.
• Return code is a system defined numeric number, generated when activities are executed.
• Different Return code can be 00 to 4095.
