Cobol is a “Common Business oriented language” , which is mainly developed for developing business applications.
Cobol Program in Mainly divided into 4 Divisions.
  1. IDENTIFICATION DIVISION.
  2. ENVIRONMENT DIVISION.
  3. DATA DIVISION.
  4. PROCEDURE DIVISION.
Divisions are further divided into Section, than to paragraphs, than to sentences, than to statements.
