As we all know the difference between “ACCEPT” & “DISPLAY” in Cobol Statements. 
In the same way here in CICS Send will act like DISPLAY statement and Receive will act like a “ACCEPT” Statement.
  • SEND -> DISPLAY
  • RECEIVE -> ACCEPT
